TOUR TO STRASBOURG
A Magical Trip to Europe's Biggest Christmas Market in Strasbourg
Last December, my husband and I had the incredible opportunity to visit Strasbourg, home to Europe's biggest and most famous Christmas market. It was an unforgettable experience filled with festive cheer, beautiful decorations, and delicious treats.
We stayed in an Airbnb right in front of the European Parliament, which was not only convenient but also gave us a unique view of the city’s modern side. Our trip lasted four nights, and we made the most of every moment, exploring every corner of this stunning Alsatian city.
One of the things I loved most about this tour was how enjoyable yet ecological it was. Strasbourg is a city that values sustainability, and we made sure to travel responsibly. The entire city was beautifully decorated with sparkling lights and festive ornaments, making every street feel like a winter wonderland.
Although Strasbourg is known for being an expensive destination, we managed to keep our costs surprisingly low. With careful planning, we found affordable yet delicious food options, used public transportation efficiently, and explored many of the city’s free attractions. From the breathtaking Strasbourg Cathedral to the charming Petite France district, every spot we visited was magical.
The Christmas market itself was simply mesmerizing. The wooden chalets, warm mulled wine, handcrafted gifts, and the joyful atmosphere made it feel like we had stepped into a fairytale. Each stall offered something unique, from traditional Alsatian treats to beautifully crafted souvenirs.
This trip to Strasbourg was one of the best experiences we’ve had. It proved that with good planning, even an expensive city can be explored on a budget. More than anything, it was a journey filled with happiness, love, and the true spirit of Christmas.
If you ever get the chance to visit Strasbourg during the holiday season, I highly recommend it. It’s an experience that will stay with you forever!............
